Sarajevo to Dubrovnik: Transport Options

In short: ~240 km. Direct bus: 4–5 hours, €15–25. No train. Crosses into Croatia (brief border check). The Pelješac Bridge now allows most services to bypass the Neum border crossing.

Bus (main option): Centrotrans and others run multiple daily direct buses Sarajevo–Dubrovnik. €15–25. 4–5 hours through Herzegovina. Beautiful Neretva valley scenery. More frequent in summer.

Via Mostar: Sarajevo–Mostar (2.5 hrs, €6–9) then Mostar–Dubrovnik (2 hrs, €10–15). Adds time but allows a proper Stari Most stop.

Pelješac Bridge: Opened in 2022, most Dubrovnik-bound services now bypass the Neum corridor (Bosnia’s small Adriatic strip) entirely, avoiding one of two border crossings. Some buses still use Neum — check your specific service.
